Aesthetics matter, even in the 2D code world. It was this impetus that prompted us to create Blotcode. A 2D format that's attractive to the eye and shall we dare say... beautiful. Its visual elements - white circles with or without borders and black circle elements of various sizes - are not only pleasing, but also practical. Blotcodes can hold strings of up to four bytes of data with error correction. For the moment, Blotcode will be read only via the 2D Sense app on the iPhone, but rest assured that we are working very hard to have a J2ME port that can be used on the majority on phones. As far as code availability and generation is concerned, we are allowing partners to participate in our beta program.
